I woke up and checked out of The InterCity Airport Hotel. The drive to Berlin was longer than I thought. Didn’t help that I was in a traffic jam for about an hour. East Germany has a far prettier (viewable anyway) countryside. Gas is very expensive here. It costs a little over twice as much to fill up a tank. It’s about €1,25/ liter.

Now I am on the Meininger roof overlooking a paltry percentage of Berlin. Berlin is BIG. I drove around looking for gas. The city is bustling with life: pedestrians, bicyclists and S-Bahn and U-Bahn passengers, and Cafés. Now I must study! I also forgot to mention that there is a TREMENDOUS amount of graffiti everywhere in Germany (as far as I see).
